Could you talk a little bit more about renting out traffic? I'm getting some type-ins on a domain I don't have the tech savvy to develop. Can you suggest how to offer it to another site? I can't figure out how to track the transaction.

I agree with Len. All these auction places sell names for thousands of dollars and the names are crap. Sedo.com for example charges $40 to list a domain that does not get any offers. And, if you ever check the site, you will see domains that are awful that sell for thousands of dollars(ex. obxbyowner.com sold for $1,250, Zoost.com for $25,500, performanceChips.com $40,000, WellThen.com for $13,000,
yummymummy for over $3,000 and so on. Check out DNjournal.com and you can see for yourself.

Sorry I ever got in the domain business. I think it's a bunch of bull! If you had one .com you make money. DN Journal hypes it up to be so great. But there are millions of good domains that don't sell. By the way I have excellent two word generics. I KNOW the domain biz. Not like I'm a newbie. So much "auction competition now forget it! Lets finally be honest about this business. You might hit a jackpot once in awhile by selling a domain for one or two thousand. Rarity. If you disagree with this then by all means tell me where you have good luck selling domains.

That's why I thought it's likely a buyer who knows how to convert such traffic into nice money, not someone looking for easy resale. A web marketer acquired from me a 3-word domain related to 'list' for high 4 figure. Because they have the expertise to turn visitors into subscribers and buyers. Probably getting their money back in just a few months!

Domain Roundtable auction day. DayTradingSchool. com is listed waaay down the list. The auction starts mid- day, and my domain finally comes up for sale around 9pm. Where’ s it gonna go? Is the money train gonna stop in Atlanta? It.. finally goes up…. and… it sells for the reserve. Queue the“ wha wha whaaaa” music. Actually, though, I needed the money back out of it, so I was successful in that regard.
